CNC Machining Center Operator 3

Key Responsibilities:

Set up CNC machining jobs using setup sheets and detailed instructions. Check and verify new CNC programs, making necessary adjustments to ensure proper execution. Perform program edits and write short programs directly at the controller level. Read, interpret, and understand dimensions and tolerances from blueprints and engineering drawings. Work with close tolerances on machined parts to meet precise specifications and quality standards. Operate and set up various CNC equipment including vertical mills, horizontal mills, turning centers, and multi-axis turning centers. Apply experience and knowledge of manual machining when needed to support operations. Utilize precision instruments, hand tools, and measuring equipment to verify part accuracy and quality. Troubleshoot machining issues, optimize feeds and speeds, and ensure smooth program operation. Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to improve machining processes and maintain production efficiency. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company standards.

Qualifications:

2+ years of machining experience preferred. 3+ years of experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with

DMG Mori CNC Machines

(NLX2500, NT5400, and CTX Beta 1250TC) and

Mori Seiki NHX 6300

is highly desirable. 2+ years of experience with

Multi-Axis Machining

, including multi-axis lathes with live tooling. Strong understanding of CNC programming, setup, and operation principles. Proven ability to troubleshoot and dial in new programs for optimal feeds and speeds. Proficiency in using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
