CNC Application Technician

Travel is required for this job:

• Domestic travel required in the tri state area \xe2\x80\x93 (up to 80% for MA and CA, 30% for NJ and IL).

CNC machine tooling company in northern New Jersey is looking for candidates to join the team to help with the success and growth. Company produces Swiss-type CNC lathe machinery as well as MIYANO fixed headstock turning centers. Need a candidate for the CNC Machine Tools industry.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the part programming of CNC machines, process development, and customer training in a manufacturing environment.
• Conducting pre-sale activities and reviews including customer visits, machine assessment and recommendations, and part processing recommendations.
• Programing, set up and training of Citizen and Miyano CNC lathes and CNC vertical or horizontal mills. Setting up CNC programming per customer specifications.
• Making accurate cost estimates, writing engineering reports, and interpreting plans and specifications.
• Provide customer support via phone and travel to customer sites.
• Domestic travel required in the tri state area \xe2\x80\x93 ( up to 80% for MA and CA, 30% for NJ and IL).
• Interpreting part prints, plans and specifications.
• Create time studies and perform first part run off.
• Align and interface bar feed unit.
• Occasional travel to Mexico and Canada.

Required:

• HS diploma or equivalent; some college courses is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience with CNC machines.
• 5+ years of Swiss screw machines experience for CNC lathe preferred.
• Excellent and effective communications skills required.
• Domestic travel is required. Occasional international travel \xe2\x80\x93 Canada and Mexico.
• Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and passport required.
• Citizen & Miyano experience helpful.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
