Position overview:
We are seeking a skilled CMM Programmer / Quality Inspector to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. The CMM Programmer / Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products meet the required quality standards through inspection, testing, and documentation. This role plays a key part in identifying and resolving quality issues, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining compliance with internal and external standards.
Role & Responsibilities:
CMM Programming (Open DMIS)
PPAP Activities
Prepares rejection notices and verify defects on return material
Read blueprints and specifications
Measure products with rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers
Assess performant, ensures all work center employees are following press operator procedures, set up sheets, route sheets, special inspection instruction sheets, and all work instructions (verbal and written) correctly - coach and take corrective action as needed
Completes special assignments or projects established to achieve "continuous quality improvement"
Report and record inspections and test data
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
Qualifications and Education Requirements
CMM programming experience at least 2 years
Must be able to maintain an excellent attendance record
Must be willing to learn different functions of quality procedures (CMM, ISO, Dimensional checks, etc.)
Must have good oral and written communication skills
Must be able to read and understand blueprints and quality expectations
Must have keen eye for detail
Basic computers skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
Strong problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
Working understanding ISO/IATF/AIAG MSA Tool Calibration Lean Manufacturing Principles
Create, edit and validate CMM programs using software
Physical Demands and Work Environment
The work environment characteristics are as described; while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to varied temperatures due to working in a non-air-conditioned facility. In addition, the employee is regularly exposed to oil, grease, dust, odors, fumes, loud noise environment, and may work near moving mechanical parts. The work environment is not climate controlled.
Ability to lift/push/pull weight from 10 to 50 lbs. without restrictions
Ability to stand/walk/move for up to 10 hours
Ability to work in dusty and dirty conditions
