CIRCOR Naval Solutions started in 1897 under Warren Pumps\xc2\xae. This division is best known for serving the U.S. Navy\'s submarine and surface ship programs. The highly engineered and custom-built pumps are made of a wide variety of exotic materials and span an envious range of both centrifugal and positive displacement technologies

CIRCOR Portland Valve was organized in 1973, originating in Portland Maine and moved its operations to Warren, Massachusetts at the end of 2011. CIRCOR Portland Valve is a major valve supplier on the Submarine & Destroyer programs. The company\'s products include a broad range of specialized valves for various shipboard services.

Every submarine and aircraft carrier in the U.S. fleet as well as many other U.S. naval vessels depends on the pumps manufactured at Warren.

POSITION DETAILS

Position Summary

The CMM Programmer is a first shift position based in our Warren, MA facility. This position is responsible for the development, creation and editing of part specific CMM programs for part acceptance. As the focal point for this activity, the programmer will also create part specific set up sheets to accomplish the inspections. The CMM programmer will provide revision control of programs, manage the necessary calibrations and provide training to inspectors on processing production parts to the programs.

Principal Activities

  • Develop CMM programs for component parts and completed assemblies.
  • Perform inspections of close tolerance parts developing programs from blueprints, CAD, solid models and PCDMIS.
  • Provide CMM programs to support first piece, in process and final inspections.
  • Maintain appropriate records and documentation to assist in the control and evaluation of programming operations.
  • Establish and maintain calibration control of all associated tooling and gaging.
  • Ability to work with inspectors, operators, engineering and with varying and changing shop schedules.
  • Specify and procure any necessary tooling and fixturing.
  • Assist in the development of a safe working environment through the use of occupational safety and health standards including ergonomic principles.
  • Proactively support the ISO process approach to quality management.
Job Requirements:

CANDIDATE REQUIRMENTS

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to read and understand technical data (blueprints, specifications, etc)
  • Advanced PC-DMIS programming knowledge.
  • Proficient in the use of precision measurement equipment.
  • Microsoft Office tools experienced.
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) knowledge is essential.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply advanced mathematics.
  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to resolve practical programs.
  • Detail oriented/mechanically inclined with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Excellent time management and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and troubleshooting skills.
  • Team player.
Education & Experience
  • Associate degree (preferred).
  • Direct experience in a high requirement, manufacturing environment.
  • Coordinate Measurement Machine Programming experience - PC-DMIS (2 years Minimum).
  • Understanding of how to program from solid models/CAD.
  • Layout Inspection experience (2 years Minimum).
  • Understanding of Quality Management Standards such as ISO 9001 and AS9100.
