Cma Prescription Refill Specialist
Job Description
Coos County Family Health Services is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team as a Full-Time Prescription Refill Specialist.
This is a 40-hour per week position, eligible for full-time benefits. A remote work option may be available.
Primary Duties:
Refill patient prescription request in the matched renewal, prescription line, patient portal, and faxed requests per Prescription Refill Policy/Procedure, within the allotted timeframe of 72 business hours.
Work closely with ordering providers to maintain safe and effective refill processes.
Work closely with reception to ensure patients are being scheduled for follow up medication check appointments.
Assist the nurses and CMA's in completing prior authorizations as time allows.
Communicate with pharmacies as needed for clarification on medication refill requests.
Qualifications:
Successful candidate must have an active certification as a medical assistant.
