We are looking for an experienced and proactive individual to join our team as the Clothing Department Manager in our Bozeman store! As the Clothing Sales Manager, you will spend most of your time as an active, visible leader--motivating, directing, and coaching hourly staff. You will report directly to the Store Manager and oversee the clothing sales and processing teams, ensuring that the highest levels of customer satisfaction and merchandise presentation are achieved.
This role also includes managing clothing processing operations, such as preparing apparel for the sales floor, attaching security tags, and hanging garments for merchandising.

Key Responsibilities
Lead, motivate, and coach a team of 9-10 within the clothing sales and processing departments to achieve sales goals and deliver excellent customer service.
Manage team schedules, facilitate new hire training, and promote individual and team development and engagement.
Oversee all aspects of apparel processing, including tagging, hanging, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor.
Maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure an organized, appealing, and on-brand presentation.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with store leadership on replenishment and stock movement.
Prepare the department for promotions and events, ensuring signage accuracy and displays are well-organized.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through knowledgeable and attentive service.
Stay current on the latest sports, outdoor, and apparel trends and technology.
Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed, including loss prevention and safety standards.
Maintain the sales floor to the highest standard of organization and cleanliness.
Execute store opening and closing procedures as needed.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and growth.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum age: 18 years or older.
Retail management or supervisory experience preferred, with a background in clothing or retail considered beneficial.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team of employees.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and all required sales events.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to provide exceptional customer service and confidently approach and engage with customers.
Proactive, disciplined, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines, including during mandatory sales events.
Well-developed organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to delegate effectively.
Meticulous attention to detail and ability to accurately give and follow instructions.
Knowledge of apparel merchandising and retail operations.
Ability to remain objective and calm during stressful situations.
