Position Summary

The Closing Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Closing Manager with management and oversight of the closing department. Assisting with managing workflow, assuring all closing documents comply with company, FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA and industry standard rules and regulations. Ensure the production department meets the deadlines required to get loans insured, endorsed, or sold to third parties. Work with other departments on all process improvement activities. This position will also require contact with title companies and attorneys to resolve more complex issues.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end mortgage closing process, ensuring timely and accurate closing of loans. Implement and maintain losing procedures and best practices to enhance efficiency. Resolve any issues that arise during the closing process, utilizing strong problem-solving skills to ensure timely resolution. Providing support and leadership to closing team members, including providing training, coaching and support to enhance performance and productivity. Implement and maintain closing procedures and best practices to enhance efficiency. Assign files to team members to optimize daily objectives. Lead periodic meetings to discuss improvement, provide feedback, and review changes. When business needs to dictate, assist with performing funder duties. Collaborate with Management to promote positive customer experience by fostering an efficient service for the closing pipeline. Responsible for partnering with the Closing Manager for hiring, ensuring team members maintain adherence to all HR policies, including performance reviews, and terminations. Daily review of reporting for pipeline, production, and quality management. Escalation point doc and funding conditions. Responsible for assisting Post Closing and Quality Control to maintain/assure salability of loans in the Secondary Market. Actively partner with internal and external partners to improve overall workflow as well as communicate any changes or improvements. Understand big picture concepts. Responsible for ensuring that appropriate productivity levels are met and/or exceed all defined standards. Positive attitude and ability to motivate your team. Additional duties and direct reports as determined by management.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

Associate or bachelor's degree. 5+ years closing mortgage loan transactions. Familiarity with agency and non-agency products. 2+ years in a leadership position with direct reports within a closing department. Proven track record exceeding growth goals. Excellent multitasker with keen attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and all levels of management, internally and externally. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills and member service skills. Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational and time management skills are required.

East Closing Supervisor - 8AM to 5PM (EST)

o Remote

West Closing Supervisor - 8AM to 5PM (PST)

o Hybrid (Remote/In-office)

Physical and Work Conditions

Standard office environment for office centers and/or work from home opportunity. Ability to set up equipment (if remote) and tasks, including work at a computer terminal. This position requires partial sitting and walking throughout the day. Employees must be open to working overtime to complete assigned tasks. If working remote you must be able to be focused to your job function during normal work schedules. You also would need to have high speed internet service at your residence to perform the job function efficiently.
