Clinical Therapist (Part-Time)Pay starting at $29 per hour. Hourly rate is determined based on bilingual status and experience.

The Part-Time Clinical Therapist provides trauma-focused, evidence-based therapeutic services to victims of abuse/trauma and their non-offending family members, working out of the Denton, Lewisville, and possibly Bridgeport offices. This role is expected to work 2 nights a week and manage a caseload of at least 11 clients per week within a part-time schedule.

Essential Functions

Provide direct client services to child victims of sexual and serious physical abuse and their families using evidence-based, trauma-informed modalities (e.g., TF-CBT, EMDR, Play Therapy, etc.). Provide individual, play, group, filial, and/or family therapy. Provide crisis intervention to clients. Conduct basic diagnostic assessments. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with agency, legal, and ethical standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members including case managers, forensic interviewers, victim advocates, and law enforcement. Participate in clinical supervision and case consultations. Communicate regularly with caregivers and provide supportive services or referrals as needed. Attend required trainings to maintain licensure and stay current on best practices for trauma therapy. Maintain ethical and licensure standards of BHEC licensing board. Other duties as assigned.

Travel

This position is based in the Bridgeport, TX office and will require travel to the Jacksboro, TX office. The candidate must be willing to work at all offices (Bridgeport, Lewisville, and Denton) when agency needs arise.

Education and Training

Texas LPC or LMFT License required.

Experience

Minimum of 1 year of experience providing services at a Children's Advocacy Center preferred 2 years of professional experience in services for abused children required Thorough knowledge of child sexual/physical abuse dynamics required Play, adolescent, family, & group therapy experience Knowledge of psychological assessment administration and interpretation Experience in court testimony preferred Knowledge of Trauma treatment modalities required * Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
