Position Overview

The Clinical Support Specialist (CSS) is a hybrid role that combines hands-on client care with clinical training and mentorship. This position is ideal for an experienced Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) ready to take the next step toward leadership and professional growth. Under BCBA supervision, the CSS provides targeted RBT training, conducts treatment integrity checks, and steps in as a floater to maintain consistent, high-quality client care.

Key ResponsibilitiesTraining & Skill Development

Deliver RBT training using the Behavioral Skills Training (BST) model (instruction, modeling, rehearsal, feedback). Conduct ongoing skill-specific training sessions and treatment integrity checks. Provide real-time supportive feedback to ensure skill mastery and consistency. Track progress in the Ongoing Training Dashboard and communicate updates to supervising BCBAs. Support RBT exam preparation, mock reviews, and skill maintenance assessments. Lead short clinical skill refreshers and assist with program-wide training initiatives.

Direct Client Care

Provide direct ABA therapy for approximately 50% of scheduled hours, covering RBT absences or high-need cases. Implement individualized treatment plans as directed by supervising BCBAs. Model best-practice interventions and data collection for RBTs during sessions.

Clinic Support

Support smooth clinic operations by assisting with transitions, scheduling, and breaks. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for clients and staff. Step in for emergent operational needs to ensure quality client experiences.

Qualifications

Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification in good standing. Minimum 1 year of experience providing ABA therapy. Successful completion of the CSS Competency Assessment (administered by a BCBA). Strong communication, coaching, and leadership skills. Ability to balance multiple priorities -- training, direct service, and clinic support.
