Job Summary:
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for providing high-quality clinical and administrative supervision to graduate-level interns and associate level therapists while carrying a small caseload of clients. The supervisor will ensure that all services delivered are trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and adhere to the highest standards of ethical practice. This role is essential for supporting the professional development of interns and associates as they work toward graduation and/or independent licensure.
Responsibilities:
Carry a small caseload of clients.
Provide regular, structured, and documented individual and group supervision to interns and associate therapists, in compliance with graduate school requirements as well as Oregon and Washington licensing board requirements.
Review and co-sign all clinical documentation, including intakes, assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and termination summaries.
Help associates and interns develop diagnostic skills, appropriate treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions for clients.
Observe and provide direct, constructive feedback on clinical techniques, allowing for increasing independence as competency grows.
Teach and monitor skills such as time management, organizational abilities, and efficient use of electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Be available for consultation with associates and interns for complex cases or crisis situations.
Stay current with best practices, legal and ethical standards, and licensing board requirements.
Clinical documentation is completed in a timely manner (within 48 hours) to meet client needs and best practice standards.
Help with facilitation of weekly group supervisions and staff trainings as needed.
Attend monthly Therapy Meetings and All Staff Meetings as they are scheduled.
Program and Administrative Oversight:
Collaborate with the Director of Behavioral Health Services to refine program development, identify and coordinate staff development and training needs, and help to maintain high-quality care.
Ensure supervisees' clinical practices comply with all applicable state regulations.
Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new interns and associates.
Conduct perforce evaluations for supervisees, addressing any concerns promptly and effectively.
Maintain accurate supervisory records and provide timely reports to licensing boards as needed.
Qualifications:
Possession of a Master's degree or higher from an accredited school of social work, psychology or counseling.
Active, independent and unrestricted license to practice in the state of Oregon (PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, etc.) and Washington (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, etc.). Applicants without a valid, active license will not be considered.
Approved supervisor status through the Oregon Board of Licensed Social Workers, or meet the requirements to become one.
Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience in a mental health setting.
Experience in providing clinical supervision is strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices (e.g., EMDR, DBT, CBT, ACT, etc.) and the ability to integrate cultural considerations into service delivery.
Maintain professional licensure and/or certification throughout employment with this clinic.
Proficiency with technology, including EHR systems and telehealth platforms.
Strong organizational, communication, problem solving and leadership skills.
Ability to pass a criminal background check.
