Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Vice President of Insurance and Risk Management of Southcoast Health System, responsible for implementing a comprehensive and proactive clinical risk management program applicable to all clinical areas, including designated hospital and ambulatory site(s) within the system. This involves a wide variety of duties designed to support the captive self-insurance program, minimize financial losses to the institution, enhance the quality of patient care, and improve the safety of patients, visitors and employees. Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in related field required.
Ability to effectively interact with patients, families, providers and hospital personnel in complex and potentially stressful situations.
Must have proficient written and communication skills, with the ability to identify risk issues and implement risk mitigation and prevention strategies.
Should have ability to work independently and take initiative to address issues, prioritize, and escalate as appropriate.
Competent computer skills required.
Three years of experience in clinical risk management with knowledge of legal and insurance concepts preferred.
Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) preferred.
Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
Pay Range: USD $96,096.00 - USD $161,491.00 /Yr.
