Harmony Place is an established, renowned Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient treatment program in Monterey, specializing in integrated care for individuals with complex mental health and behavioral health issues, including chemical dependency, eating disorders, and sexual compulsivity. Our approach is personalized, offering a variety of treatment modalities to address the specific needs of our patients. We are now expanding our services to Berkeley, CA, and we're seeking an experienced and dynamic
Program Director
to lead our second program and work with a highly skilled, collaborative team.
Position Overview:
As the Program Director, you will play a critical leadership role in developing and overseeing the Berkeley program. You will be providing direct supervision, training to our clinical staff and leading group therapy. This is a full time in person position. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, specialized care for individuals who have not responded to traditional outpatient treatment. Key Responsibilities:
Program Development & Leadership:
Lead the design and implementation of the Berkeley program, with a focus on evidence-based, individualized treatment plans. Ensure the program reflects Harmony Place's commitment to excellence and innovation in mental health care.
Supervision & Training:
Provide clinical supervision to the treatment team, offering guidance and training to develop their skills and support their professional growth. Foster a collaborative, team-oriented culture that ensures both staff and patients thrive.
Direct Clinical Care:
Provide individual psychotherapy, group therapy to patients, ensuring that treatment is highly personalized and based on each patient's needs. Focus on patients who require intensive treatment, including those with complex co-occurring disorders.
Integrated Care:
Work closely with our psychiatric team to provide ongoing psychiatric assessments and treatment plans. Ensure seamless coordination of care across all treatment tracks: mental health, chemical dependency, eating disorders, and sexual compulsivity.
Group Therapy:
Lead or oversee the development of specialized group therapy sessions tailored to the needs of patients in the program. This may include dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and other modalities suited to high-needs clients.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
Ensure that all clinical practices comply with regulatory standards and best practices, maintaining documentation and treatment protocols to meet organizational goals.
Collaboration:
Work with other program directors, clinicians, and administrative staff to ensure a cohesive, multidisciplinary approach to care. Engage with external providers and stakeholders when appropriate.
Qualifications:
Education:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
Licensure:
Must hold a valid, unrestricted clinical license (LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, PsyD, or similar) in California.
Experience:
Clinical experience in a supervisory or leadership role.. Experience in one or more of the program areas (mental health, chemical dependency, eating disorders, sexual compulsivity) is strongly preferred.
Expertise in Intensive Treatment:
Experience providing intensive, one-on-one therapy and working with individuals who require more than typical outpatient care (i.e., multiple weekly sessions, complex diagnoses, dual diagnoses, etc.).
Leadership & Communication Skills:
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a clinical team. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with clients, families, and staff.
Commitment to Quality Care:
A passion for working with individuals who have not responded to traditional outpatient care and a commitment to delivering exceptional, individualized treatment. Familiarity with group therapy modalities and a strong understanding of clinical documentation standards.
