Clinical Outpatient Therapist

Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct group, individual, and family (as needed) therapy sessions in a PHP/IOP setting for adults with a mental health diagnosis. Facilitate psychoeducational and psychotherapy group sessions, demonstrating theoretical knowledge of the subject matter and effective communication skills when presenting the material. Effectively utilize crisis intervention skills to de-escalate patients in distress. Complete group and individual progress notes, treatment plans/recertifications, and utilization reviews in a timely manner. Exhibit proficiency in clinical interviewing, assessments, conceptualization, diagnostic, treatment goal setting, and report writing. Utilize feedback and supervision to improve clinical and work performance. Maintain appropriate boundaries with patients and colleagues to ensure ethical standards. Demonstrate cultural competency in the provision of treatment services to a diverse patient population. Demonstrate effective communication skills and collaborate with colleagues in a team-oriented approach. Coordinate with supervisor to insure adherence to company policies and procedures, as well as ethical and other professional guidelines.

Requirements:

Possess one of the following licenses: LPC Associate, LPC, LMSW, LCSW in the state of Texas. Master's Degree in social work, counseling, or psychology from an accredited university. Current driver's license and reliable transportation.
