Department Summary


The medical aspect of our clinic operates very similarly to a primary care office that you might find in the community. They are able to diagnose, treat, and prescribe medication for everyday health issues, and can refer to specialists for more advanced medical issues. Students experiencing a major emergency are encouraged to go directly to Sky Lakes Medical Center (located across the street from campus). Visits are at NO COST for students who are registered for 6 or more credits (i.e. who have paid the Student Health Fee) and we offer low cost for vaccinations, laboratory work, and minor procedures.

Position Summary


Consistent with Oregon Tech's polytechnic designation and hands-on mission, University Health and Wellness operates a series of clinics which provide the opportunity for students to hone their skills by working with real-world patients in real-world settings. The Clinical Manager provides oversight to all Clinical Services staff working in all the clinics, as well as managing clinic functioning. The university plans on expanding the number of clinics in the future, and the Clinical Manager would oversee any additional clinics that are launched, as well. The Clinical Manager is responsible for personnel management, facilitating day-to-day operations, serving as a liaison to academic faculty, and nurturing relationships with stakeholders. This position reports to the Executive Director of University Health and Wellness.


Minimum Requirements

Bachelors degree in Public Health, Higher Education or related field At least 3 years experience working in a management or supervisory role within a clinical setting (either medical or behavioral health). A successful candidate must possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to creatively solve problems. Demonstrated leadership skills are required as is flexibility.



Preferred Qualifications


Masters degree in Public Health, Higher Education or related field Prefer 5 years experience working in a management or supervisory role within a clinical setting (either medical or behavioral health). Experience with policy/procedure development and strategic planning * Candidates with initiative and a willingness to function independently are preferred.
