Job Description
Position Summary
The Clinical Informaticist serves as a bridge between healthcare providers and information technology teams, ensuring that clinical workflows are effectively supported by digital systems. This role focuses on optimizing electronic health records (EHRs), data management, and clinical decision support tools to improve patient care, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with clinicians, administrators, and IT staff to align technology solutions with clinical needs. Analyze and improve workflows to enhance usability and adoption of EHR systems. Support data governance, quality, and interoperability across healthcare platforms. Develop and implement clinical decision support tools to aid evidence-based practice. Provide training and guidance to healthcare staff on informatics systems. Monitor regulatory compliance related to health information technology (HIPAA, HITECH, etc.).
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing, Medicine, Health Informatics, or related field. Clinical background (RN, LPN, or equivalent) strongly preferred. Experience with EHR systems and healthcare IT applications (Meditech preferred) * Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
