The Department of Nursing at the University of South Dakota (USD) is seeking applications for a 9 months full-time clinical nursing faculty member at the Vermillion campus. The faculty member will be responsible for providing clinical instruction predominantly in the simulation and lab setting for pre-licensure students. There may be some occasions of direct patient-care clinical instruction.
Responsibilities:

• Clinical teaching in lab and simulation.
• Evaluation of student learning.
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Contribution to departmental service activities.

Required Qualifications:

• Current unencumbered nursing license and eligible for licensure in South Dakota.
• Minimum of a master's degree in nursing from a nationally accredited program prior to starting the position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong nursing background with experience in medical-surgical nursing.
• Experience teaching in a baccalaureate or higher degree program.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with technology.

USD Nursing is one of ten programs within the USD School of Health Sciences, offering a Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing Degree in Vermillion and Sioux Falls, an RN-BSN program, a Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice, and online MSN and DNP programs. The School of Health Sciences and the USD/Sanford School of Medicine comprise the Division of Health Affairs.
