Clinical Director



Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a master's degree in psychology, social work, or counseling and a minimum of three years post master's relevant clinical experience, progressive managerial experience, and appropriate current licensure (LPC, LICSW, etc).



The position requires a solid understanding of clinical diagnostic methods, principles, and various psychotherapy and counseling modalities, along with knowledge of abnormal psychology and complementary treatment options. Experience in program development, data analysis, and performance management is essential.

Familiarity with HIPAA privacy rules are necessary, as the role includes acting as the HIPAA privacy officer. Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills are needed to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

The ability to build strong teams and meet performance goals is crucial, along with proven leadership skills in managing a culturally diverse team. Candidates should be comfortable working in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment and possess strong problem-solving abilities.

Primary job functions and performance expectations:



Supports compliance with all delivery of services to the fiscal, ethical and legal standards upheld by the state of Alabama and the core values and mission of Central Alabama Wellness. Clinical supervision of the Mental Illness, Substance Abuse and Intellectual Disabilities Divisions.
1. Monitors clinical programs of treatment and referrals.

2. Conducts review of client files to assure quality of care.

3. Review of treatment plans.

4. Coordinates and participates in clinical staffing and case consultations.

5. Ensures treatment adheres to established policies, procedures, and standards of care.

6. Provides direct supervision of Division Directors.

7. Assist Training Director with development of all clinical staff training.

Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director to include:



1. Promotes and maintains good relationships and communication between departments.

2. Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.

3. Provide direct clinical services as needed according to Center guidelines.

4. Involvement in Consultation and Education activities.

5. Attendance at Clinical Directors Group.

6. Attendance at Board of Directors meetings as scheduled/requested.

7. Collaborate with community partners to improve relationships and involvement with community partners.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
