DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clinical Dietitian, you will be responsible for planning and organizing a comprehensive nutrition care program for consumers at Danville State Hospital. Your work will involve conducting nutrition assessments, creating discharge planning diets, providing counseling, recording dietary charts, and participating in treatment teams. You will also develop nutrition education programs and continuously review and modify diets to ensure the best health outcomes for consumers. Additionally, you will monitor the general acceptance of the menu by consumers and make necessary adjustments.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.

You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Special Requirement:

You must possess certification as a Registered Dietitian as defined by the Commission on Registration of the American Dietetic Association; or proof of eligibility for such certification.

Other Requirements:

You must meet the PA residency requirement. For more information on ways to meet PA residency requirements, follow the link and click on Residency. You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. + Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
