The Clinical Administrative Coordinator works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service. Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical and service goals.
If you are within the state of Texas, you will have the flexibility to work in a hybrid role as you take on some tough challenges.
Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm CST
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Applies knowledge/skills to activities that often vary from day to day
  • Demonstrates a moderate level of knowledge and skills in own function
  • Requires little assistance with standard and non-standard requests
  • Solves routine problems on own
  • Works with supervisor to solve more complex problems
  • Prioritizes and organizes own work to meet agreed upon deadlines
  • Works with others as part of a team
  • Utilize phone system to respond to and transfer calls to appropriate individuals
  • Ask callers standard questions to understand requests, gather necessary information, and assess urgency
  • Access electronic member files using policy or id number
  • Determine member eligibility
  • Follow protocols to task requests appropriately
  • Reference automated job aid tools via the computer to identify appropriate procedures when needed
  • Navigate between computer screens and platforms to research information (e.g., medical, clinical, or benefits information)
  • Learn computer systems and process changes and updates and incorporate them into daily work
  • Contact internal resources if necessary to clarify information
  • Identify appropriate resources (e.g., doctor, resource, contracted provider) to respond to medical requests
  • Document call history information into relevant computer system
  • Enter medical request data into relevant computer system
  • Follow standard procedures to complete requests
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher) OR 4+ years of experience working within the health care industry or with health insurance
  • 2+ years of medical and/or customer service experience
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Word, Excel (create, edit, save documents), Outlook (email and calendar management), Teams and multiple web applications
  • Access to a designated quiet workspace in your home (separated from non-workspace areas) with the ability to secure Protected Health Information (PHI)
  • Live in a location that can receive an approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet
  • Access to reliable transportation and valid US driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working from home
  • Experience working within the health care industry and with health insurance
  • Experience working in a hospital, physician's office or medical clinic setting
  • A clerical or administrative support background
  • Experience working in a call center

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $17.74 to $31.63 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
