A Snapshot of Your Day

Manage the scope, schedule, and cost of repair projects in execution at the Horsham Service Center. Create inspection reports and repair proposals for steam turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, safety valves, and other related turbomachinery equipment. Serve as clients\' direct point of contact while repairs are ongoing at the service center. Work alongside a team of mechanics, machinists, weld technicians, inspectors, engineers, and project managers in the repair of critical turbomachinery equipment. Customers include oil refineries, petrochemical plants, power plants, universities, hospitals, and mechanical contractors.

How You\'ll Make an Impact

Manage the scope, schedule, and cost of repair projects in execution at the Horsham Service Center.

Create inspection reports and repair proposals for overhauling turbomachinery equipment.

Review bills of materials and manufacturing drawings to compile list of replacement parts

Serve as clients\' direct point of contact at the service center.

Interpret customer maintenance and/or repair specifications to technical personnel for repair and maintenance of equipment.

Review contractual terms and conditions for service specifications.

Support shop personnel in execution of inspection and repair activities.

Provide concise and descriptive work instructions to the shop floor for execution, referencing all appropriate repair and factory technical specifications.

Prepare and deliver project documentation and progress reports for internal and external customers.

Support and maintain Lean implementation projects.

Closely monitor ongoing job-costs to ensure close adherence to budget.

Comply with client and internal quality standards.

Assist with and support the various safety projects and initiatives within the Service Center; safety is very important to our team - it is everyone\'s duty to work safely, report any unsafe conditions or suggestions for improvement to shop leadership.

What You Bring

  • 1+ years\' experience with rotating and/or reciprocating equipment repairs (steam turbines, centrifugal compressors, gas turbines, reciprocating compressors, turbochargers, valves, dry gas seals), manufacturing environment, or quoting hrs. and resources for repair scopes
Bachelor\'s degree in business or engineering is required
  • The requirement can be waived with 5+ year of experience
Must be willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays on occasion as business requires.

Experience with managing project life cycle and cost

Must adapt to fast-paced environment

Experience with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, and Outlook.

Experience working in an organization with a strong commitment to Health, Safety, and Quality.

Strong capability in project management.

A team player attitude, working well with others

Ability to interpret shop instructions and manufacturing drawings

About the Team

In our Business Unit Industrial Applications, we offer comprehensive digital portfolio solutions in the oil and gas sector and other process industries comprising rotating equipment, electrification, and solutions for Subsea business.

The Philadelphia Service Center, specifically, is comprised of a strong team of 23 individuals, including mechanics, machinists, weld technicians, NDT inspectors, repair engineers, and project managers. The shop was originally established in the early 1970\'s as a Worthington repair center, servicing local northeast clients. Acquired by Dresser-Rand, Siemens, and now Siemens Energy, it has since grown, and its capabilities expanded to support all major refineries on the east coast and the mid-west. The Philly shop is the third largest Siemens Energy repair center in the US.
