We're seeking a motivated, entrepreneurial Client Development Representative (CDR) for our Corporate, Healthcare and Transit Practices to identify and engage decision-makers and generate qualified pipeline. You'll help DI unlock new opportunities with research and thoughtful outreach into meetings, momentum, and revenue. This role is ideal for someone who loves prospecting, is energized by relationship-building, and can balance high activity with high-quality targeting.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS
may include but are not limited to:
Prospecting & Pipeline Generation
Research target accounts and active projects to identify key decision-makers and uncover qualified opportunities
Build and execute outreach strategies (email, phone, LinkedIn, events) tailored by segment and persona
Set qualified meetings (FIT calls) and consistently contribute net-new pipeline toward DI's sales goals
Lead introduction calls/conversations and qualify opportunities based on fit, timing, budget, stakeholders, and urgency
Document clear notes, context, and next steps to enable smooth handoffs to sellers
Ask sharp questions that uncover client needs and pain points while positioning DI's value early.
Service Work
Responsible for handling all service work requests for Corporate, Healthcare and Transit practices
Serve as the client's day-to-day contact throughout the sales process
Define project scope, gather client needs, and communicate scope internally
Send proposals to the client
Once a project is Closed Won, brief the Service Project Manager on the full project scope
Introduce the client to Service Project Manager for project handoff and ongoing coordination.
Sales Tools & Workflow
Use Salesforce, Wiza, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and sequencing/outreach tool, Groove to manage outreach, track activity, and maintain CRM hygiene
Maintain accurate lead/contact records, stage progression, and reporting to support pipeline visibility and forecasting
Leverage AI and automation to improve speed and personalization without sacrificing quality.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Marketing to align on thought leadership themes, nurture strategies, and account-based outreach
Coordinate with internal teams to stay current on DI wins, new work, capabilities, and proof points
Share voice-of-customer insights to refine messaging, targeting, and outreach effectiveness.
Industry Awareness & Thoughtful Targeting
Stay current on trends, news, and key signals within assigned practices (e.g., Corporate, Healthcare, Transit) to inform timely, relevant outreach
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Curiosity or knowledge in experiential design, technology, fabrication, and/or architecture--and excitement about the Corporate and Healthcare industries
Strong ability to translate DI's value into clear, compelling stories tailored to different audiences and platforms
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to present, assert, and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Strong drive to meet or exceed activity and pipeline goals; motivated by measurable outcomes
Able to apply sound judgment and strategic thinking to generate results and uncover growth opportunities
Proven ability to research accounts, projects, and decision-makers and use insights to personalize outreach
Open to direction and constructive feedback; eager to learn and improve
Excellent time management and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, high-autonomy environment
Quick to learn and leverage modern sales tools and platforms to improve productivity and outreach effectiveness
Works well across Sales, Marketing, and internal teams; builds alignment and maintains strong internal partnerships
Professional, confident, and comfortable engaging new people; able to build and maintain rapport across a broad prospect base.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, or a similar degree or equivalent work experience required
1-3 years of experience in business development required
