We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Client Care Specialist to join our physical therapy clinic in Edina.
Your primary job will be to engage clients: to help them schedule appointments, understand how their insurance coverage applies, feel welcome when they arrive, and answer their questions by phone and/or email. You will also help keep the clinic clean and organized, maintain patient records in our EMR system, assist with verifying insurance and obtaining authorizations, and help keep track of the clinic's operational metrics.
Duties
Greets and directs patients, salespeople, referral sources and visitors
Answers telephone and either responds to inquiry or directs caller to appropriate personnel
Performs opening and closing procedures of the office each day
Schedules appointments and enters appointment dates and time into computerized scheduler
Gathers all intake information and enter patient into the EMR
Manages patient marketing and operational metrics in existing Daily Management Report (DMR)
Records when appointments have been filled or canceled, including informing therapists
Telephones patients to remind them of initial appointments
Assist with other medical office needs, including receiving and posting payments for services provided
Adheres to company's policies and procedures
Adheres to company's values statement and social contract

Education & Abilities
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Robust understanding of office applications including document creation (PDF, Word or Docs), spreadsheets (Excel or Sheets) and the use of online portals (Electronic Medical Records, etc.)
Language: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees if the organization.
Math: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
