Job Description

The primary responsibility of an Outbound Clerk is to help monitor inventory activities of the warehouse, processing, and outgoing deliveries including merchandise, stock, materials, and supplies. Must be able to work a schedule performing eight plus hours per day which could include overtime, weekends, and holidays when required. Prior experience with 3PL, Retail Distribution, and Reserve Logistics/E-commerce experience is a plus.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Takes orders from all drivers and provides guidance for outbound shipments. Accurately create bills of loading for outgoing freight and systematically open and close shipments using a warehouse management system. Compile all information, enter it into the warehouse management system, and maintain records relative to shipping activities. Ensure the accuracy of all shipping documents by strict adherence to standard operating procedures. Relay information on outbound carries daily, providing schedules for outbound shipment and equipment needs. Communicate with supervisor all essential information to ensure operations are meeting requirements for both shifts. Assist to reconcile any disparities. Actively monitor trailer availability and capacities. Assist with other administrative duties as needed by the leadership team. File all outbound paperwork so that is easily accessible when needed. Maintain logs accurately with necessary information. Clean and maintain an organized work area. Maintain safe work environment.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. GED/High School Diploma and/or prior experience helpful.



2. Ability to follow and comprehend instructions from leadership.



3. Possesses effective written and verbal communications skills.



4. Strong problem-solving skills.



5. Ability to enter data and maintain records.



6. Ability to operate a computer, printer, and scanner.



7. Working knowledge of MS Office including Excel



8. Ability to stand, sit, walk, and use hands continuously during and up to 10-12-hour shift

Shifts Available:

B-shift: Thursday-Saturday 12pm to 11pm, Wednesdays 9am to 4pm
