Positon overview:





The Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS)'s, Division of Child Support Services is seeking to hire a highly qualified and motivated professional to join our Cook Central Region to serve as a Clerical Supervisor. This position will review and monitor income withholding cases. Additionally, this position will oversee staff who key pre-coded data into the statewide database systems and will establish workload assignments and evaluate operations.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, organizational, leadership and analytical skills to be successful in evaluating the operations of the Cook Central Region Team D.

Essential Functions
Under direction, serves as a Clerical Supervisor by planning, directing, and evaluating the continuing review of income withholding cases that indicate a delinquency in the amount of withheld court ordered child support Serves as a working supervisor Plans, directs, and evaluates clerical team operations Performs office management functions Directs and monitors the keying of pre-coded data into the computerized statewide database systems from various sources Organizes, reviews, and establishes clerical workload assignments Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above Minimum Qualifications
Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of two (2) years of study at a secretarial/business college and two (2) years of office experience; or completion of high school and four (4) years of Office Assistant experience; or four (4) years of independent business experience Conditions of Employment
Requires the ability to pass a national background check prior to employment due to accessing confidential federal tax information Requires the ability to utilize and maintain state issued equipment such as a laptop Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties, with overnight stays as appropriate + The conditions of employment listed here are incorporated and related to any of the job duties as listed in the job description
