Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. Cleaning, housekeeping, or Janitorial experience is great, but not necessary. The most important qualities and skills we are looking for are reliability, good communication, and the ability to work efficiently and independently. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for all occupants.

Our business is growing, and if you desire, there may be opportunity for advancement and more hours. Most work is performed in Florence, but if you are able to commute to Eugene or Newport about once per week, that opens up additional hours.

Duties

Perform routine cleaning tasks in commercial, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming, cleaning glass/mirrors, etc. Conduct thorough cleaning of restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas to uphold hygiene standards. Manage waste disposal Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly. Adhere to all health and safety regulations while performing cleaning duties.

Qualifications

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or housekeeping is preferred but not required. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards. Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others in a team environment. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and maintaining a clean workspace.
To start, we are looking for someone to fill two or three short shifts per week. Generally these shifts are around 2 hours long, so only about 6 hours per week. If your job performance is satisfactory and you desire more hours, this can quickly lead to more hours. If you are willing to commute to facilities outside of Florence, as far as Newport or Eugene, that also opens up more hours for the right candidate.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 20 per week
