Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Classroom Aide to support our educators in creating a nurturing and effective learning environment for our students. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers to assist in the daily operations of the classroom, providing support to children in their educational journey. This role is essential for fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages learning and development. Other duties will include recess and lunch duty.

Responsibilities

Assist the teacher with preparing instructional materials and organizing learning activities. Help facilitate small group instruction in subjects such as math and literacy education. Engage with children during playtime and structured activities to enhance their social skills. Provide individualized support to students. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Supervise students during recess and lunch times. Promote safe and respectful play. Intervene and mediate minor student conflicts appropriately. Monitor students while they eat lunch, encouraging appropriate table manners and behavior.

Skills

Good communication and problem-solving skills. Patience, empathy, and a passion for fostering children's growth and development. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Ability to manage groups of children in a positive and fair manner. Enjoyment of working with children and supporting their social development.
