Position Summary
This position is part of a small team in the
Office of the Registrar
that provides academic scheduling support throughout the academic year by creating and editing course data and rooming assignments in multiple enterprise systems.
Course editing and rooming responsibilities include working within a team to prepare the quarterly class schedule within the necessary time frames to enable the accurate publication of information in the online class schedule. Responsibilities involve working with department contacts to edit and create courses each term.
This position provides service to faculty, staff, and students through the accurate management of academic course data, classroom assignments, and exam scheduling. This role enforces both curricular and operational institutional policies. Duties include:
Working in conjunction with applicable units to adjust room schedules as needed to meet ADA accommodations for both students and faculty.
Creating by-arrangement courses and related student registration.
Maintaining data and its import and export between multiple systems.
Assignment of classrooms related to priority room control, appropriate classroom use, and utilization standards.
Faculty Senate rulings provide specific curriculum requirements that must be followed when creating courses.
Capital Projects & Construction Office provides guidelines on room capacity, room features, and room control.
Maintaining room data, features, ownership and blocking of classrooms in both Banner SIS and Ad Astra.
Managing import and export of classroom schedules between Banner SIS and Ad Astra systems.
Error resolution related to data input from departmental class scheduling requests.
Identifying inconsistencies that prevent proper billing or create schedule problems for students.
Working with with academic departments, Capital Projects & Construction, and OHSU to ensure classroom access, quality, and control follow set guidelines.
Incorporating the needs of departmental scheduling specialists to improve our processes.
Minimum Qualifications from Classification
Two years of general clerical experience. One year of which included typing, word processing, or other experience generating documents;
OR
An Associate's degree in Office Occupations or Office Technology;
OR
Graduation from a private school of business with a Certificate in Office Occupations or Office Technology
AND
one year of general clerical experience.
Note:
College courses in Office Occupations or Office Technology will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Additional Minimum Qualifications for this Position
Must be organized , detailed, and accurate and have the ability to juggle complex processes and procedures and work under tight deadlines. Must have excellent data entry skills.

Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement
The starting hourly rate for this position will be $19.36 per hour. The starting salary may be negotiable above this rate, however it will be dependent upon the knowledge, experience, skills and abilities of the chosen candidate, the budget of the hiring department, and approval from HR.
