The Class 2 Water Operator plays a crucial role in the management and treatment of water to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards. This position involves operating and maintaining the water treatment facility, monitoring systems, and performing necessary repairs. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience with various control systems, ensuring efficient operation of equipment.
Duties
Operate and monitor water treatment processes, including programmable logic controllers and distributed control systems.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify maintenance needs and perform necessary repairs.
Collect data on water quality and treatment processes for analysis and reporting purposes.
Operate heavy equipment related to water treatment and construction activities as required.
Perform plumbing tasks as needed to maintain facility operations.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards during all operations.
Engage in heavy lifting tasks as required for equipment maintenance and repairs.
Collaborate with team members to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness in water treatment processes.
Monthly meter reading.

Requirements
Proven experience in water treatment or a related field is preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge, including equipment repair skills.
Familiarity with tanker operations is a plus.
Proficiency in basic math for data collection and analysis tasks.
Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively.
Experience in construction environments is beneficial.
Excellent analytical skills to assess water quality data and operational performance.
