The Young Automotive Group is growing AGAIN! We are looking to expand our teams, and are seeking a Claims Specialist to assist us in our Wholesale Parts Department. The Claims Specialist is responsible for identifying, processing, and managing all claim-related activities in accordance with manufacturer and company standards. This position plays a key role in ensuring timely and accurate claim resolution, supporting inventory control, and maintaining efficient communication with vendors and internal departments. Responsibilities
Identify and assess damaged parts to determine claim eligibility based on multiple manufacturer standards, primarily from Returns and Receiving departments.
Prepare, file, and manage claims for damaged, shortage, repair, warranty, and cores.
Dispose of non-claimable items in compliance with company procedures.
Track, follow up, and update the status of all open claims to ensure timely resolution.
Maintain accurate claim documentation and shipping records in accordance with company and manufacturer requirements.
Collaborate with internal teams to assist with inventory management and related claim processes.
Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance departmental productivity and efficiency.
Manage incoming and outgoing emails related to claims.
Qualifications
Prior
automotive industry experience
recommended;
wholesale automotive experience
is best.
Ability to
lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
.
Experience recommended, but not required
Proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite
(Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
* Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
