Summary



'Claims Processor I' is a vital role at BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, responsible for processing insurance claims efficiently and accurately. This position is based in South Carolina and plays a key part in ensuring our members receive timely and precise claim settlements, supporting our mission to deliver exceptional healthcare services.

Responsibilities



Review and process incoming insurance claims with attention to detail. Verify claim information against policy details and medical documentation. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as ICD-10, CPT coding, and Medicare guidelines. Collaborate with medical providers and internal teams to resolve claim discrepancies. Maintain accurate records of processed claims using financial software. Support the organization by filing documents and managing medical records. Assist in audits and quality assurance processes related to claims processing. Stay updated on changes in insurance laws and coding standards.

Qualify for This Position, You'll Need the Following:



Required Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Skills and Abilities:

Strong analytical, organizational and customer service skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Proficient spelling, punctuation and grammar skills. Good judgment skills. Basic business math skills
