Review and analyze Workers' compensation claims for accuracy
Assists with reporting of claims to insurance carriers
Determine the validity of claims and make recommendations for approval or denial based on investigation and analysis
Supports the insurance renewal process by gathering updated information
Interacts with other corporate departments to promote safety
Communicates with insurance carrier claims personnel regarding claims investigation and resolution
Completes special projects as assigned
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED.
Workers' compensation claims experience preferred, but not required.
Physical Demands:
Typical office environment, occasionally stands and walks, frequently sits.
Routine use of personal computer and general office equipment.
Environment/Noise:
Noise level is moderate
Certificates/Licenses:
No certificates or licenses are required
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
Excellent customer service skills critical
Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including, but not limited to, use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
Ability to read and speak English in order to perform job duties (must be able to communicate with English-speaking coworkers and customers, must be able to read and comprehend reports and manuals written in English)
Effective written and oral communications skills.
Ability to work with limited supervision
