CEIS | Government is seeking an

experienced Safety Professional

to provide

onsite safety oversight

for civil contractor operations at a major

data center project

in Sparks, NV. This role is critical to maintaining a safe, compliant, and proactive environment on a fast-paced job site with extensive

underground, grading, and heavy equipment operations

.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide daily safety oversight for all

civil activities

, including:

+

Underground grading

+

Paving and concrete operations

+ Operation and coordination of

heavy equipment

(Triple 7 haul trucks, blades, dozers)
Enforce site-specific safety protocols and regulatory compliance (OSHA, company standards) Conduct

hazard assessments

, safety audits, and JSAs across dynamic work zones Monitor excavation and trenching operations; enforce proper

confined space entry

practices Ensure

rigging and hoisting

operations are conducted safely and with proper inspection and oversight Engage directly with civil contractors, subcontractors, and site leadership to

drive a culture of safety

Respond to incidents, lead investigations, and support corrective action planning Deliver toolbox talks, spot training, and on-the-fly mentoring to reinforce safe work practices

Required Experience & Qualifications:

5+ years of field safety experience

in large-scale civil or infrastructure projects Strong working knowledge of:

+

Earthwork and grading

+

Underground utility installation

+

Concrete placement

+

Heavy equipment operation safety

+

Rigging and confined space entry

Experience managing safety on large data center, energy, or industrial projects strongly preferred Must be comfortable working in high-traffic equipment zones and rapidly evolving scopes OSHA 30 (Construction) required; additional safety certifications (e.g., rigging, confined space) preferred Hands-on, boots-on-the-ground mentality this is a field-driven role
