Civil Litigation Associate Attorney

Remote (must reside in California)

Schedule:

Full-time

Compensation:

$130,000 - $200,000 per year + performance-based bonuses
We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with experience in civil litigation defense to join a respected litigation firm. This position offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload, gain valuable trial experience, and work in a supportive, collaborative environment while enjoying the flexibility of a remote role.

Key Responsibilities

Represent clients in civil litigation defense matters from intake through resolution. Handle discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, and trial preparation. Draft pleadings, briefs, and legal correspondence with precision and attention to detail. Appear in court as needed and maintain direct client communication. Manage cases independently while collaborating with senior attorneys. Contribute to strategy development, trial advocacy, and long-term client relationships.

Qualifications

Active license with the State Bar of California (required). Minimum of 1 year of civil litigation defense experience. Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills. Ability to balance multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Trial experience or genuine interest in trial work is a plus.
