The primary objective of this position is to assist the various aspects of the engineering department on a variety of projects related to construction inspection, traffic, mapping, data collection, streets, utilities and sidewalks. This is a seasonal summer position (40 hour work week preferred). The position is subject to a police background/driver's license check and a pre-employment drug test.
Compensation: Please note: The 2026 salary range is anticipated to increase pending budget approval in mid-December.
Essential Job Functions:

• Assists with the inspection of construction projects including streets, water main, sanitary sewer, storm drainage systems and sidewalks.
• Inspection and data inventory for the city's storm sewer system.
• Assists with traffic data collection.
• Assists engineering staff with geographical information systems (GIS) mapping.
• GPS survey data collection.
