We are looking for a qualified

Civil Engineer

to join our team in our new offices in Vienna, Virginia.



SUMMARY




The Civil Engineer is responsible for the planning and execution of an ongoing propellant production facility program, as well as supporting additional upcoming programs . The scope of responsibilities for this position also include participating in proposal teams, estimating cost and planning facility construction projects, and developing new business opportunities.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


Support the engineering execution of all propellant production related efforts, ensuring optimal allocation, coordination, and oversight of both internal and external resources. Measure, document, and report progress of the program through well-structured technical reports and updates. Monitor, track, and control Civil Engineering requirements. Support the capture of future programs by contributing to the development and submission of bids and proposals . Identify potential production sites in accordance with program specifications. Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, and geotechnical/hydrology analyses. Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and calculations. Integrate design with facility security, safety, and mission-critical operational requirements. Collaborate with program managers, engineers, project managers, architects, subcontractors, and government stakeholders to meet project objectives on time and within cost. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and building code requirements. Provide on-site construction support, including inspections and RFI responses. Develop cost estimates and support project scheduling.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS




Education



Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, or other related applied science discipline



Experience


5 years of experience in a civil engineering team executing and delivering results 5 years in construction or construction management

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (as demonstrated through experience, training and/or testing)


Ability to research, analyze, and report on building, environmental, and explosive site safety plans. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar design software. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively and independently as circumstances warrant. Knowledge of DoD UFC, IBC, ASTM, AASHTO, OSHA, and EPA standards. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (secret). Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required (<25%).

Must be able to maintain composure in dealing with executives, customers and staff, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations. Will perform majority of duties in office environment with occasional exposure to hazards of production environment requiring protective equipment. May be exposed to or required to handle sensitive and confidential information. May be required to move boxes or materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be able to move about inside the office to access materials, supplies and office machinery. Occasional exposure to heavy equipment, weather, dust, noise and other hazards. Moving about by ascending ladders, bending, crawling, stooping and kneeling.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


Master's degree in a technical discipline Professional Engineer designation Knowledge of government regulations related to defense products (ITAR, ATF, FDA)
