Job Description

Hyde Park City is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Treasurer to join our team. This position is responsible for the City's financial management, including accounting, payroll, reporting, and related administrative functions. The Treasurer ensures compliance with state and federal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts receivable Accounts payable State and Federal financial reporting Payroll and payroll reporting Human Resources Employee benefits Update the City website and social media pages as needed

Qualifications

Experience in accounting, payroll, or public finance (municipal experience preferred) Strong attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Excellent communication and customer service skills

Special Qualifications

Must be bondable in the amount set by the Utah State Money Management council for Public Treasurers; must have a valid Utah Driver's License

Certified Public Finance Administrator (CPFA) certification preferred (or ability to obtain) Notary (or ability to obtain)
