The CIT Scenario Actor plays a critical role in bringing Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) scenarios to life. This position involves acting in realistic and sensitive training simulations to help participants practice effective communication and crisis intervention techniques. Participants can include, Law Enforcement, EMS and other Medical Personnel, Fire Fighters, and other first responders as well as Teachers, Administrators and many other disciplines.
Scenario actors must be adaptable, emotionally intelligent, and comfortable portraying individuals in a range of mental health or crisis-related situations. Reality Based Training (RBT) scenarios can include persons in mental health crisis, manic or depressive episodes, those with schizophrenia, and other mental/behavioral health crisis. Currently we are looking for younger actors to take part in our Youth specific CIT Training.
This position involves working closely with law enforcement officers, behavioral health professionals, and community partners to deliver high-quality, evidence-based training.
Actors will be closely monitored by Facilitators; all scenarios will be no physical contact to protect the actor.
Staff shall be required to provide proof of or be required to attend training as determined by the company to ensure the standard of training is being met by its employees.
This position may require travel to different locations to facilitate learning in certain environments.
