TITLE: High School Choir Director

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Professional licensure and an employee of Harrison County Board of Education


IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Principal


SELECTION: The position is filled by the Board of Education upon recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools


SALARY: Per Harrison County Board of Education extra-curricular pay schedule


FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

+ Schedule and conduct all rehearsals.


+ Provide refinement of choral technique and expanded repertoire through developing at least one small ensemble.


+ Audition, teach, and train participants for All-State Chorus.


+ Perform publicly outside of home-school environment.


+ Provide choral music for graduation ceremonies, if such circumstances are conducted.


+ Maintain records, reports, and inventories that may be required.


+ Accept advice and suggestions in a constructive manner.


+ Submit requisitions and purchase of choral music to proper authority within designated budget and deadlines.


+ Attend at least one music in-service, workshop, or conference outside of school time during the academic year.


+ Attend and observe All-State Chorus rehearsals and monitors students participating.
