Job Title: Children's LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) OR Licensed Clinical Independent Social Worker (LICSW)



Chrysalis Counseling

is seeking an

LPC

or

LICSW

who specializes in working with children and families. As a Children's LPC or LICSW, you will play a pivotal role in supporting their mental health and emotional well-being. Your expertise will empower young individuals to navigate challenges, develop coping strategies, and foster resilience. You will work collaboratively with families, schools, and community resources to create a nurturing environment where children can thrive.

What you'll do



Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify the mental health needs of children. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy and art therapy. Provide individual and group counseling sessions tailored to the unique needs of children, including those with developmental disabilities and autism. Engage in crisis intervention and conflict management strategies to support children during critical moments. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care that addresses behavioral health concerns. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and security of patient records. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive changes in behavior and mindset among children. Participate in case management activities, including referrals to additional services as needed.

Basic qualifications



Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field with appropriate licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) . Experience working with children in a therapeutic setting. Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medical records management.

Preferred qualifications



Familiarity with behavioral therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis. Proficiency in crisis management and behavioral management strategies. Must be able to be credentialed with most insurance panels.
