We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Children Gymnastics Director to lead our youth gymnastics program. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for working with children, a strong background in physical education, and expertise in various sports and martial arts. This role involves designing engaging classes, ensuring safety, and fostering a positive environment that encourages children's physical development and confidence. The Children Gymnastics Director will play a vital role in creating a fun, educational, and safe space for children to learn gymnastics and related activities.
Duties
Develop and implement age-appropriate gymnastics curricula that promote physical fitness, coordination, and confidence among children.
Lead and supervise gymnastics classes, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed at all times.
Manage behavior and motivate children to participate actively while maintaining a positive environment.
Coordinate with other sports instructors for integrated activities such as cheerleading, climbing, or martial arts sessions.
Oversee the maintenance of gym equipment and ensure the facility adheres to health and safety standards.
Engage with parents to provide updates on their child's progress and address any concerns.
Plan special events or competitions to showcase children's skills and encourage community involvement.
Stay current with best practices in child development, physical education, and sports coaching.
Experience
Prior experience working with children in a sports or educational setting is essential.
Background in gymnastics, cheerleading, martial arts (such as Karate, Judo), swimming, or other physical activities highly preferred.
Experience in teaching physical education or coaching sports like basketball or climbing is advantageous.
Knowledge of behavior management techniques to foster discipline while maintaining a fun environment.
Lifeguard experience is a plus but not required; relevant certifications are beneficial.
Proven ability to lead classes confidently while ensuring safety and engagement of young participants.
