Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of childhood development. This role involves providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in our care, ensuring their emotional and physical well-being while fostering their growth through engaging activities.

Duties

Supervise and engage with children in a safe and supportive manner. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development. Monitor children's behavior and provide guidance to encourage positive social interactions. Assist with daily routines including meal times, nap times, and personal hygiene. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns. Collaborate with team members to create an inclusive atmosphere for all children, including those with disabilities. Document children's progress and maintain accurate records as required.

Requirements

Experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting is preferred. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Familiarity with childhood development milestones. First aid certification is highly desirable. Experience in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Strong classroom management skills to maintain an effective learning environment. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when needed. Previous experience in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is beneficial. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
