JOB SUMMARY:

Childcare Workers at Hubbard House provide vital lifesaving, life-changing support to children who have witnessed or experienced domestic violence. Childcare Workers provide care and learning for children in a safe and supportive environment by maintaining a classroom setting following the Children\'s Services Therapeutic Childcare Curriculum and the Department of Children and Families criteria. Childcare Workers will work indoors, outdoors and off-site. Hubbard House will provide training to help you become the world-changer you want to be.

Hubbard House is looking for people passionate about making a difference in the lives of victims and their families. We are looking for candidates with strong relationship-building skills and who believe in putting the needs of clients and their children first.

WORK EXPERIENCE/OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

High School diploma or G.E.D. required. Child Development Associate Credential (CDA), college degree in relevant field and/or one-year experience working in early childhood education and/or with families at risk preferred. DCF 30 and 10-hour courses, CPR/First Aid certified, and Florida Food Handlers Card required.

Must be able to read, write and speak English. A valid driver\'s license and dependable transportation required. Vehicle insurance must be maintained. Must meet eligibility requirements for Hubbard House, Inc. vehicle insurance coverage. Must be able to produce proof of eligibility to work in the United States (E-Verify).

Due to the serious nature of our mission, applicants chosen to move forward in the hiring process must submit to the following: 1) a level-2 background screening which includes a criminal background check through the Department of Family and Children (DCF), Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), and the National Sex Offender Registry (at a minimum); 2) a motor vehicle report (MVR) is also run against the Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV); and 3) a drug, alcohol, and TB screening.

Experience in one or more of the following is a plus: sexual assault, domestic violence programs, bi-lingual. PAY: From $15.00 per hour
