Responsibilities
Provide attentive care to children across different age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs.
Develop and implement engaging activities that promote childhood development, early education, and social skills.
Ensure the safety of all children by maintaining a secure environment and practicing proper safety protocols such as first aid and emergency procedures.
Support behavioral management strategies to encourage positive behavior and emotional regulation.
Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices in accordance with best practices in childcare.
Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns.
Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive classroom or daycare setting that supports children with disabilities or special needs.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the childcare space to ensure a healthy environment.
Document developmental milestones and activities to track each child's growth over time.
Stay current on early childhood education techniques, classroom experience strategies, and caregiving best practices through ongoing training.
Experience
Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting roles, nannying positions, or classroom environments is highly valued.
Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific care techniques.
Experience in behavior management and implementing positive discipline methods.
Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; ongoing training in early childhood education is a plus.
Familiarity with working with children with disabilities or special needs enhances your ability to provide inclusive care.
Proven ability to build trusting relationships with children and their families through compassionate caregiving.
