PRIMARY FUNCTION/GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Child Life Specialist is a professional utilizing current knowledge of childhood development theory to meet the needs of hospitalized children, adolescents and their families. Is responsible for the planning and implementation of a comprehensive Child Life program. Collaborates with pediatric nursing, physicians and other involved professionals in addressing the patient\'s needs.

EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be a graduate of a Bachelor\'s Degree program in Child Life, Child Development, Special Education or a closely related field. Master\'s Degree preferred.
2. Must possess knowledge of childhood development and related family issues; and apply developmental concepts for the purpose of assessing and meeting children\'s needs required, as normally gained through a Bachelor\'s Degree in
Child Development area. 3. Must possess and maintain current CPR certification and CCLS certification Certified Child Life Specialist). Many of our opportunities reward* your hard work with:
