Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, fostering their development through engaging activities and educational experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of childhood development and classroom management, along with a genuine love for working with young children. This position requires the candidate to work with children ages 2-12 years.

Responsibilities

Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment. Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians. Engage children in educational activities that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and social skills. Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a positive learning atmosphere. Collaborate with other staff members to support the overall development of each child. Maintain accurate records of children's activities and progress. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development and any concerns. Maintain a clean and organized space.

Qualifications

Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices. Experience in classroom management or similar settings is preferred. Previous experience working with children in roles such as daycare, nannying, babysitting, or caregiving is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children and families. Ability to create engaging educational activities tailored to various age groups. Patience, creativity, and flexibility in teaching methods. Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus. DHHS fingerprint eligibility a plus.

Hours: Vary by location

Winslow: Seeking 6:15am-8:00am for before school care. Also seeking 2:00pm-5:30pm for after school care. Additional hours available on late start days, non school days and during school vacation weeks. Vassalboro: Seeking 6:15am-8:00am for before school care. Also seeking 2:00pm-5:30pm fof after school care. Additional hours available on early release days, non school days, and during school vacation weeks. Additional hours may be available within the preschool program located at the Winslow site. MONDAY-FRIDAY

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.75 - $17.75 per hour
