Full Time | 40 Hours per week



Flexible between the hours of 7:30am - 5:30pm - MUST be able to document two years of experience working with children - MUST be comfortable working with all ages infants through Pre-K.



Assistant Group Supervisor



Position Summary:



A Child's Place Early Learning Center is seeking a full-time, on-site, Center floater who will be responsible for the supervision and care of our young children ages infants - through Pre-K. This is a highly collaborative role working closely with all of our teachers. Our ACP team work to promote the social, emotional, academic, and physical growth of our students. Our classroom teachers and assistants are also responsible for building positive, professional relationships with our parents and families to support open and continuous communication. The ideal candidate will be able to conform to an established schedule and routine, and participate in the facilitation of the day to day tasks including serving lunch, diaper changes, potty training, circle time, centers, and independent activities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable going into all classrooms to cover for staff absences, lunch breaks and to assist in the day to day care of the children.

Essentials Duties and Responsibilities:



Supervise group of toddlers in a variety of settings (e.g. snack time, group or individual activities, playground activities, etc.) for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment Ensure the safety of toddlers through constant supervision, effective management of space, proper maintenance of equipment, and regular practice of fire drills and other emergency procedures Create an open, friendly, and cooperative atmosphere in which children and families feel comfortable and secure Design an environment that responds to the children's individual developmental levels and interests Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental, and social development such as games, arts and crafts, music, sing-a-longs, and storytelling Provide a variety of language stimulation activities Ensure that parents receive adequate information about their child's experiences at the center through daily contacts, reports, and photograph Assist with transitioning onto the next classroom Complete appropriate paperwork in a neat and organized manner (i.e. daily reports, incident reports, attendance sheets, medication logs, etc) Attend monthly staff meetings and all required trainings for the purpose of receiving and conveying information related to program Clean and maintain the classroom/playground environment Interact with and engage the children in a positive manner Provide constant, supportive and professional communication with coworkers, parents, and children Have the ability to conform to an established and consistent work schedule Follow all DHS and Keystone Stars requirements Adhere to all policies found in the ACP Employee Handbook Provide First Aid/CPR in the event of an Emergency, if certified All other tasks as needed

Required Qualifications:



High School Diploma 2 years of documentable experience working with children Ability to successfully pass and maintain all background/clearance checks. Maintain an employee file in accordance with DHS and ACP regulations. Lift up to 40 lbs. Repetitive bending, stretching, and stooping. Climb up and down stairs. Have the mobility required to ensure the safety of the children. Work with children on the floor. Work outdoors in any variety of weather. Have visual and hearing capabilities that allow consistent supervision of children with DHS licensing safety requirements. Perform light duty cleaning. Light typing and word processing
Starting rate is contingent upon qualifications and experience provided.
