As a Child Care Assistant Teacher, you will play a vital role in nurturing and developing young minds in a supportive and engaging environment. What you'll do

Assist in the planning and execution of age-appropriate lesson plans that encourage literacy, math, and overall childhood development. Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, organized, and stimulating learning environment. Engage with children through interactive activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and collaboration. Implement behavior management strategies to address individual needs and support children with diverse abilities, including those on the autism spectrum or with other disabilities. Assist in curriculum development that aligns with educational standards while catering to the unique needs of each child. Provide care for toddlers and preschool-aged children while ensuring their safety and well-being during all activities. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your skills in early childhood education.

Basic qualifications

Experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting. Strong understanding of early childhood education principles, including childhood development theories. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members.

Preferred qualifications

Background in special education or experience working with individuals with disabilities. Familiarity with Montessori methods or other progressive educational philosophies. Previous classroom experience that includes lesson planning and curriculum development.
