Description:

Great position for growth. Under the direction of a licensed clinician the behavioral technician works 1:1 with students implementing academic and social-emotional goals in a school, home or in the community. The technician will support the student with academics, while implementing behavioral interventions, maintain data collection, and collaborate with teachers, parents and other providers. The technician is given training on a regular basis and meets with a licensed clinician to review session data, graphs, client progress, and client care; and to assist in the formulation of assessment and treatment strategies.

Therapy/Work Hours:



Part time position open: Variety of days and times available. Applicant can expect work hours to fall between Monday and Friday in home, school or in the community. Technicians needed in the Potomac, Rockville, North Bethesda, Silver Spring, Wheaton and surrounding areas. There are multiple openings with varied hours including a morning, daytime and afternoon hours.

Required Therapeutic Skills & Experience:



Carry out job responsibilities with integrity Strong oral and written communication skills A minimum of two years experience working with children in a teaching capacity Ability to interact well with children, adolescents, families, and school staff Ability to work cooperatively as a therapy team member Ability to work well independently and seek assistance when needed Ability to follow instructional guidance of professional consultant and to follow the curriculum and/or behavior plan Ability to design interventions that are empirically supported in behavioral literature Registered Behavior Technicians with appropriate experience are compensated at the highest rate. Employees seeking RBT certification will be given the opportunity to complete the coursework within the first 6 months of the position.

Have means of transportation, valid license to drive No prior criminal history
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
