Direct/Manage/Supervise component purchasing specialists and procurement specialists. Develop and implement business plans, policies, and procedures. Collaborate with other departments to prioritize procurement needs. Evaluate results within units to determine if university objectives are being met. Analyze and resolve procurement issues such as budget impact, investigation of supply sources, proposals, bids, etc. May act as first point of contact for outside vendors in the absence of a dedicated Vendor Relations specialist. Second-level director. Lead the work of functional area(s) through subordinate directors. Assist executives in defining university goals and strategic plans.
