As a Chief Medical Physicist at CHI St Vincent Hot Springs you will be an integral part of our healthcare team, working closely with radiation oncologists, radiologists, and other medical professionals to ensure the safe and effective delivery of radiation therapy and imaging services. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and patient safety in all aspects of medical physics.The major components of this position include oversight of Dosimetry and Physics related to planning and treatment; collaboration with physicians to develop treatment plans; and precise and accurate delivery of radiation therapy for patient care. This position is responsible for comprehensive quality assurance and establishes procedures and protocols for patient dosimetry and radiation safety.Provides radiological physics and dosimetry services as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist Provides accurate computerized treatment planning support as required Participates in designing, controlling, and updating all external beam and brachytherapy procedures performed Participates in the acceptance, calibration, and beam data control for equipment Oversees daily, monthly, and yearly calibration of equipment.

We are offering a $25,000 sign on bonus as well as relocation assistance and an excellent benefits package.

Job Requirements



Masters degree in Radiological Physics PhD in Radiological Physics Five (5) years as Medical Radiation Physicist required Experience as a radiation safety officer (RSO) Experience in implementation of new technology and Varian equipment
Masters degree in Radiological Physics PhD in Radiological Physics
Board Certification by the ABR or ABMP Named on an Agreement State or NRC license as RSO or assistant RSO within the last 7 years for radioactive materials

Pay Range



$89.08 - $132.50 /hour
